Subject: Gravis MIDI box

I finally got my Gravis MIDI Adapter in. A caveat: the shipping co. they
used (RPS?) just left the package on my apartment doorstep. Luckily I
saw it before someone walked off with it...
Anyway, the unit looks pretty cool, and the dual joystick adapter works
great. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the MIDI in or OUT
working with my keyboards. The IN LED lights up when I play notes on
my keyboard, but MIDI recording session doesn't get the data. The manual
suggests an IRQ problem, but the GUS works fine with many other apps, so
I don't think it's that. The manual for MRS is not very substantial, so I
am hoping it's just some setup thing that I haven't done. Is there anyone
who has the MIDI box who's set it up for Windows. Also, is there any
program for DOS that I can use to do a quick check that MIDI data is
getting to the computer.
I guess if nothing else works I can just write a DOS program to send some
data out the port.
