hi!

this directory contains the animation of the statue. it consists of a number of particles aligned in frames. the original raw depth data was captured using a xbox360 kinect. data is heavily processed (background removed, noisy signal is filtered, particle reduced, etc). capturing and processing was done using our own tool, megadepth, as presented on tUM 2010.

if you want to reuse the particle data or play around with some 30fps realtime 3d movement captures, the format goes like this: [4 byte num of vertices], [all xyz vertices (3*float)], [all xyz normals (3*float)]

get yourself a kinect, it's fun! :)
