Hello everybody. This is my tune for Shade's Indotinge music disk.
It is the last release of Gemini Productions. We felt like it's time
to move forward and end this when we still like it. And god knows that
we had fun, we really had. I still remember it very clearly when Gemini
was founded in April 1996. There was four members in it, Arclight, DD,
me and OxideMan. Our only purpose was to make some noise to annoy the
big scene crowd and #trax. For our big surprise there were people who
liked our stuff.
Gemini released 3 music disks in the time of it's existence. I'd like
tell you some of the feelings from those disks. First of all our first
music disk "The Darkening" was made in the time when we were into ambient
pretty much. It wasn't that great technically but at least it got the
spirit and the passion of tracking. We were having just fun with it.
It was also the only Gemini disk that had code and visitor musicians.
Stein and K. Ylikulju were sharing the experience with us.
In the summer 1996 we made several single releases and we became
bigger and bigger. In the autumn '96 we started to make our second music
disk (which is Gemini's best I think). At that time I felt like we were
losing control a bit with things. Somehow we managed to finish the disk
for christmas and bang! "Random Lunacy" stroke Gemini to the people's mind.
With 15 songs on it containing several styles and feelings it was our
greatest music disk. DD's "Christmas Bonanza" was propably the most
succesful song on that disk though there were many other great tunes.
Spring '97. Time of silence. Gemini was in big trouble. After the
release of Random Lunacy many members suddenly resigned and being very
angry and frustrated I did so too, for a while that is. Anyway with one
new member Gemini stumbled to the year 1997 not being so shiny anymore.
We had demo projects, web magazine project and even a game idea. None of
them really worked. After thinking things over a bit we decided to try
saving what can be saved and we started to make the third music disk.
"Eat To Get Slimmer" came out in the beginning of April. It was better
music disk than I expected. With the lose of our "best" musicians I doubted
the chances of "Slimmer" to become an honorable follower of "Lunacy". It
turned out to be very good music disk after all. Mainly because of Dilvish
and Noiseman, especially Noiseman who did some very great work for it.
Surprisingly Cruel Creator contributed to the "Slimmer" too.
"Eat To Get Slimmer" was a success. It's weird and full of sadness,
frustration and anger. Making of "Eat To Get Slimmer" was however quite
annoying because I didn't enjoy being in Gemini anymore. More member losses
and we were ready to dig our grave.
I honestly think that without losing so many members who gave unrealistic
reasons for resignation Gemini would become something very big and great.
Too bad some members weren't 100% with Gemini when it would needed them.
I do respect all of them and their decisions no matter what they did but
it makes me sad to think of all the fun I had and how it all slowly died
away. Running a group is not easy, believe me because I know.

Here is the list of all musicians/coders/graphicians who were the
members of Gemini Productions. Thank you guys! You all rock and I
hope you will be succesful in whatever you are going to do in the
    future.
